WHAT? NO! Visit Fifth Avenue Department Store Takashimaya before it closes in June
To begin, we apologize. We're really, really, really sorry. For years, we loved to visit Takashimaya, Fifth Avenue's Japanese department store, because it is a unique, elegant, timeless respite from the sometimes mean streets. Because the store manages to be luxurious and quiet in a way that is calming and not snobbish. Because sometimes, you want to walk into a store and know you won't see any Juicy crap. Because it is a treasure trove of beautiful flowers, fashion, and flavors. But, we're sad to say, with all of our visiting and browsing and tea sipping, we didn't buy enough stuff- our beloved Takashimaya is closing 2 June (their webstore is shutting dow... read more>>More Articles
